Wear Your Gentle Protection

A one-of-a-kind hand-painted and embroidered denim jacket inspired by the Peacock butterfly and its symbolism of protection, resilience and gentle guardianship.

The Peacock butterfly is recognised by its striking eye-like wing patterns — markings that have long been associated with protection and watchfulness. This beautiful butterfly is also a symbol of resilience, enduring through changing seasons and reminding us of the quiet strength found in nature.

Featuring intricate free-motion embroidery of a Peacock butterfly resting on Buddleia, this design was created from my own photograph captured during a visit to Lackford Lakes Nature Reserve in Suffolk. Created to be worn like armour, this piece is a reminder that protection can be gentle, strength can be quiet, and even the smallest creatures have the power to endure.
